Jelani Millard Co - Founder & Managing Partner

Jelani Millard

Grounded in over a decade of finance and statistical analysis, a disciplined investment perspective was brought to bear on one of the world's most undercapitalized opportunity sets: African hospitality.

As the architect of The Wapechi Collection — an active hospitality investment firm since 2021 — that thesis was proven through Selah, an owner-operated enclave of eighteen boutique beach villas on the shores of Kokrobite Beach, Ghana.

Concurrent experience as Strategic Advisor of Maya Travel AI and four seasons hosting Pay Me In Plane Tickets further sharpened a command of distribution, technology, and thought leadership at the intersection of travel, culture, and capital.

It is this convergence of operating experience and market foresight that now underpins the expansion across West and South Africa — deploying hotel development and hospitality technology in tandem.

Hardy McQueen Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Hardy McQueen

Over two decades building cultural communities across Sub-Saharan Africa — from Accra and Lagos to Nairobi, Abidjan, and Cape Town — Hardy McQueen has developed a depth of market intelligence that few investors can credibly claim.

As founder of Nice Beverage Co., South Africa's first canned natural wine brand, and steward of a seven-venture portfolio encompassing Manje, Mpinji, Sikelela Reserve, AOTP, and The Alchemists, he has consistently converted cultural currency into commercial scale — for clients including Unilever, Martell, Jameson, and the James Beard Foundation.

Sikelela Reserve's 2,200 founding members secured before first delivery remains the clearest proof of concept: community capital as a deployable asset class. That same precision now drives his role as anchor operator of TAUYAA — where cultural trust and financial rigour converge into hospitality built to endure.
